Every project is different and differing methods apply to resolve differing issues. These guys were for a last minute pitch and so only had a couple of days to knock out the designs.

First project with the team at Untold
This was nice job to work on with the lovely folks at Outpost VFX. Some initial concepts for the opening of the vault, a pivotal moment of Isaac Asimov’s epic sci-fi series.
This was for an animated section for a live action project that I worked on at the beginning of 2021. Unfortunately the animated sequences were dropped for creative and continuity reasons. But it was a great learning experience none the less, in a completely new style for me.

Just some personal projects
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is the screen adaptation of a much loved novel by Susanna Clarke commissioned for The BBC. It was a fantastic project to work on, working closely with the Director Toby Haynes was a real pleasure. I think we managed to create a brilliant visual language for this project in the short time we had and I hope it in some way holds true to the original novel.
Here is a collection of some of the designs I've done for Dr Who over the many years I've worked on it for The BBC. It was a pleasure to work on such a well established and much loved bastion of British television.
Another Dinosaur Pitch from 2020
Dinosaurs in the Wild is an interactive experience taking you back to the Cretaceous period, developed by Tim Haines. It was an immensely challenging and rewarding experience. Working alongside the paleontologist Darren Naish to create accurate representations of these ancient creatures, according to the latest scientific knowledge. The opportunity of conveying these findings via the 3D artist Jason Brown was an incredibly rewarding one and a fantastic learning experience.
Electric Dreams is a collection of stories set in a Sci-fi dystopia commissioned by Channel 4 and Amazon Video. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work on a couple of designs.
Class is a Sci-fi series set within the Dr Who universe developed for The BBC. The action takes place in a boarding school where all is not what it seems...
Beowulf is a fantasy drama adapted for Television by Tim Haines for ITV Studios. It is loosely based on the old Saxon poem of the same name. I had the opportunity to design several creatures and environments to help bring this world to life.
The Bastard Executioner is a dark fantasy television series created be Kurt Sutter. The creature extrudes itself from a dragon branding on the protagonist's arm and is made of burned flesh and bone. Included are designs for multiple weapons that it's limbs are able to morph into.
This was a series of boards done for a pitch in 2018. It’s a little rough around the edges especially at the beginning. I got to work on about ten more of these after helping to win the job. Hopefully I’ll be able to share that and a whole bunch of asset design in the new year
